Resolve... not to give up
So the holidays are over. Now with the New Year in shape, the drive is to eat better, get more exercise, and finally lose that weight. And that’s a good thing.
But don’t let it stop on January 15. Resolve this year to stay steady on the program. Don’t go out and try to run 15 miles on January 5. Start slow.
If you drink three cans of soft drinks per day, cut to two. If you drink grape juice, water it down a bit. If you “super-size” a meal, try not “super-sizing” it but eat a regular meal instead.
It’s fun to say we break our resolutions in the first week or two. But this year, resolve to not let that happen, and keep to it. When late March comes and you are still on your program, that moment will be the greatest feeling of all.
