Tom Straub of Algona, Iowa says he has the largest Cheeto (there is an orange theme to some of these stories). The Cheeto weighs in at a huge 3/5 of an ounce, and is slightly larger than a silver dollar. Officials with the Frito-Lay company have said as far as they are concerned, it's a record. The notoriety is apparently big with Japanese tourists, and Straub and his Cheeto made an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show on ABC. This rural community of 5,600 is 50 miles from the nearest interstate highway (I-35) in Iowa's northwest corner. If only we had a huge Dorito right now. Hey August isn't over yet.
