Balance of Food

It can't be easy for Muslims who follow strict Islamic dietary laws to eat fast food. Now Muslims in France can do so at "Beurger King." Now they can l'ont votre manière, or "have it your way." The name plays off the French word beur, meaning a second-generation North African in France. The menu contains fast food staples such as burgers, fries, sundaes and donuts. However, beef and chicken burgers are halal (meat slaughtered according to Islamic dietary laws) and waitresses wear Islamic head scarves. The meal could be topped off with a Mecca Cola, a different business setup also marketed to French Muslims. Le roi d'hamburger (Burger King) has no restaurants in France. It's not certain if the company will raise an issue with the play on its name. Nothing says freedom more than access to fast food.
